Growth is much slower in the cool weather at this altitude producing limited crops. The compact, wiry dry leaves of this tea are a nice mix of black, rust and sage color. The brew is transparent, deep auburn in color giving-off a lovely, complex aroma of dark chocolate, aged rum and resin. This mildly, sweet cup has a delicate astrigency, a round and well-balanced taste with tones of cinnamon and rare woods. The tea has a characteristic muscatel aftertaste.
