DARJEELING TEACountry of Origin: IndiaRegion: DarjeelingTea Estate: RohiniAltitude: 500 to 1700 mGrade: FTGFOP1 (Fine Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe-a medium whole leaf)Manufacture Type: OrthodoxIngredients: Premium Black TeaThe name of this tea, Jethi Kupi-- meaning the eldest girl child in Nepali dialect, signals one of the earliest first flush of the tea garden and in fact, of the Darjeeling first flush season. Rohini tea estate became one of the youngest gardens in Darjeeling when it was re-planted in 1994 by the Saria family. This garden has flourished under the experience and expertise of Saria family producint teas of exceptional quality. Beautifully rolled dry leaves of this particular lot are lightly oxidised, with lots of silvery tips. When brewed for 3 minutes we get a light golden-green liquor with a very fresh aroma of spring flowers. The cup has a round, balanced and creamy taste with pleasant hazel nut tones and long sweet and slightly astringent aftertaste. Steeping: 2 teaspoonful per cup (3 grams for 8 ounces/ 240 ml) of water at 85°C (185°F) for 3 minutes. You can brew this tea through 2 infusions. *** If you don't have a thermometer handy to measure your water temperature, don't worry! Here is an eye guide--180° F / 82° C = bubbles form on the bottom of the pot 195° F / 90° C = the first bubbles begin to rise 212° F / 100° C = full rolling boilPacking We send our teas in a resealable kraft paper zip-lock stand-up pack with food-grade aluminum foil lining. We recommend storing your tea in this supplied bag away from direct sunlight or moisture. We do not recommend keeping the teas in fridge. ----We source our teas directly from Darjeeling, that is why we can offer such good prices for these high quality teas----**Customs information**Herbadiet will not be liable for packages refused or held by customs for delivery.
