The dry leaves have a dark chocolate like aroma and hints of roasted almonds. When brewed for 3.5 minutes we get a deep amber liquor with a strong musky aroma. We get notes of cocoa, almond and white flowers at the top and a sweet lingering finish reminiscent of fresh fruits and muscat. This is a very high quality tea and it’s distinctive flavor will surely add a new layer to your collection.Steeping2 teaspoonful per cup (2-3g tea per 8 ounces/ 240 ml) of water at 90°C(195°F) for 3 1/2-4 minutes. For the second infusion we recommend same temperature for 4 minutes.***If you don’t have a thermometer handy to measure your water temperature, don’t worry! DARJEELING MARGARET’s Hope:Darjeeling teas are grown at 6800 feet above sea level. Margaret’s Hope is one of Darjeeling’s best known tea estates. The owner named the garden after the untimely death of his young daughter Margaret. In contrast to 1st flush Margaret’s Hope’s delicate and crisp nature, this 2nd flush tea has a lovely muscatel flavor with a delicious astringency. Excellent as an afternoon tea. HOT TEA: Put a slightly heaping tsp of loose tea for each 8oz of freshly boiled water. Steep 3-7 minutes. Add milk and sugar to taste. ICED TEA: 6 slightly heaping tsp of loose tea for each 1QT iced tea. Pour 1 1/4 cup boiling water on tea. Steep 5 minutes. Quarter fill serving pitcher with cold water. Pour into pitcher straining tea. Add ice.
