WILD HARVESTED PINE NEEDLES FROM BOZEMAN MONTANA Size: 10 ounces. 100% Wild-Harvested Evergreen Pine trees: Red Pine Needles, from the pristine wilderness of Montana. Two to three times as much Vitamin C as orange juice! Great for tea, potpourri, spice mixes, syrup making and home-brewing or kombucha making!Evergreens are a beneficial, edible tree that provides numerous medicinal and culinary options to the intrepid user. Pine needles are high in Vitamin C, and other minerals like magnesium and beta carotene, B vitamins, as well as a host of antioxidants. Their flavor is relatively herbaceous, traditionally used to treat respiratory and cold symptoms—contains a concentration of Suramin and shikimic acid, the main ingredient in Tamiflu or influenza medicine or flu vaccine—in addition to culinary use. Nature’s immune booster and wonderful cure! They can be brewed as tea, steeped and combined with sugar for a winter-forest flavored syrup. Use as substitute for rosemary in dishes or under the skins of a roasting chicken or fish. Needles can be used to flavor baked goods and ice creams. Add to vodka or secondary ferments of beer and kombucha for wintergreen notes. Add to seasonal potpourri and craft mixes for their special holiday fragrance. Dosage: 3 cups per day or more of any desired strength (based on the quantity of needles added to a french press or teapot) with an approximate 1-3 tablespoons of needles per cup of near boiling water. This is a maintenance health-building dose.Stronger amounts of needles to water can be used therapeutically.
