HISTORY: Lollicup USA was founded in 2000 when Alan Yu and Marvin Cheng opened the first Lollicup tea cafe in San Gabriel, CA. Their business quickly expanded and by 2006 more than 60 stores opened across the nation. To maintain consistency and quality of their shops, Yu and Cheng established two brands, Tea Zone® (2001) and Karat® (2004). Tea Zone offers high-quality bubble tea and food and beverage ingredients, while Karat provides premium paper and plastic disposable goods and packaging. Not long after establishing these brands, the company began providing its products and services to thousands of businesses, including many Fortune 500 restaurant franchises.
