Combo Honey Jun and Kombucha SCOBYs w/starter Probiotic Healthy Fermented drink

You will receive 1 Honey Jun and 1 Kombucha SCOBY mailed in a sealed bags with starter tea. I prefer to ship all orders on Mondays or Tuesdays. INSTRUCTIONS FOR KOMBUCHA You need: – 1 tablespoon black tea – 1/4 cup cane sugar – 1 quart water – 1/4 cup active kombucha – 1 kombucha scoby culture “Active kombucha” is the kombucha from the last batch of your kombucha. Or you may obtain the liquid from any store bought kombucha that has not been pasteurized (which most have not). Directions: – Clean hands, workspace, and utensils before touching the scoby – Boil water in pot. – Add tea and turn off heat. – Add cane sugar, stir until dissolved. – Let steep until cool with lid on. – Strain tea into bowl. – Add active kombucha liquid. – Place in glass jar. – Add kombucha “mother” with opaque side up. – Cover with a mesh cloth, other cloth or loose lid. – Let sit in a warm place for 4-14 days. Brewing time will vary based on the temperature and depending on how sweet/tart you like it. Make sure to save 1/4 cup or more of kombucha for your next brew. Sugar Any raw sugar, white sugar, evaporated cane juice, organic cane crystals, sucanat sugar. Don’t use honey! Honey has antibacterial properties that can harm the bacteria and yeasts found in Kombucha. Teas Common teas used are black and black/green teas(½ & ½) Don’t use Earl Grey or any other teas with oils. Oils will damage the scoby. JUN INSTRUCTIONS – 2-3 tea bags or 1-2 tsp green tea – 4 cup water – 1/4 cup (2 oz) honey – 1/4 cup (2 oz ) starter tea – 1 jun scoby – Boil water in pot, turn off heat – Add green tea – Let steep until warm with lid on – Strain tea into bowl – Add honey, stir until dissolved. – Add jun starter tea – Place in glass jar. – Add jun scoby – Cover with a mesh cloth, other cloth or loose lid. – Let sit in a warm place for 5-14 days. Brewing time will vary based on the temperature and depending on how sweet/tart you like it. Make sure to save some of jun for your next brew.
