DARJEELING MARGARET’s Hope:Darjeeling teas are grown at 6800 feet above sea level. Margaret’s Hope is one of Darjeeling’s best known tea estates. The owner named the garden after the untimely death of his young daughter Margaret. In contrast to 1st flush Margaret’s Hope’s delicate and crisp nature, this 2nd flush tea has a lovely muscatel flavor with a delicious astringency. Excellent as an afternoon tea. HOT TEA: Put a slightly heaping tsp of loose tea for each 8oz of freshly boiled water. Steep 3-7 minutes. Add milk and sugar to taste. ICED TEA: 6 slightly heaping tsp of loose tea for each 1QT iced tea. Pour 1 1/4 cup boiling water on tea. Steep 5 minutes. Quarter fill serving pitcher with cold water. Pour into pitcher straining tea. Add ice.
